This map is not associated with the 3 page Battle Report to all First Division members, by 1st Infantry Commander by General W. E. DePuy. The map shows the area of operation for the 1st Division.
Operation Cedar Falls involved numerous US Army for 2 weeks in January 1967 and took place in the general area shown on the map. General DePuy seems pleased with the results and optimistic about the future. The report reflects how the US Army measured success and failure and guess what, we win. These measurements did not reflect the reality of guerilla war, they measured the war we wanted, not the war we had.
